Cultural Arts

Our VISION is to build Shreveport into a GREAT INTERNATIONAL CITY, ‘The Magnolia Diamond On The Red’, that embraces the concept of CULTURAL RESPECT & EQUITY via the CULTURAL ECONOMY by:

  • Partnering with: SRAC, the Daniels Arts Society, Achievement Through Art, Pamoja, Theater of Performing Arts, Multi-Cultural Center Of The South, Ron Hardy and other arts based community organizations to cultivate and promote the rich cultural arts diversity of Shreveport      

  • Working with developers & marketing professionals to create more unique festivals and cultural programs that reflect the true demographic makeup of Shreveport        

  • Advocating for diversified funding on a local, state and federal level for arts and cultural projects & programs that reflect the true demographic makeup of Shreveport       

  • Working to attract more cultural art exhibits to our museums and other cultural facilities         

  • Working with the Star Cemetery advocates to preserve the legacy of the Star Cemetery         

  • Working with visual artists to increase revenues for their artwork sales on a global scale         

  • Advocating for After-School Culture Care Programs that cultivate the artistic talents of children      

  • Establishing Cultural Enlightenment Programs in Caddo Parish Schools with consultation from

    established professionals like:  Dr. Tommy Curry, Dr. J. Kunjufu, and Dr. Joy DeGruy
