Our VISION is to create BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN and VIBRANT communities throughout the ENTIRE city by: 

• Creating legislation that will establish ‘Fair Housing Standards’ in Shreveport, weed out ‘slum landlords’, and eliminate dilapidated properties and blight throughout OUR city          

• Working with Property Standards/Code Enforcement to strengthen and enforce residential and commercial property standards throughout OUR city     

• Lobbying the City Marshall’s Office to become the policing agency for property standards and code enforcement, thus forcing neglectful property owners to either:  maintain their property, pay fines, or have their property seized and/or demolished          

• Simplifying the process to purchase Adjudicated Property                   

• Advocating for reconstruction of dilapidated residential and commercial structures vs. demolition in order to: enhance property values, build financial independence and increase tax revenues        

• Partnering with Shreveport Green and Neighborhood Associations throughout OUR city          

• Creating and advocating for legislation that provides tax incentives to individuals and developers who seek to build residential and commercial developments in inner-city communities           

• Partnering with historical preservation organizations in Highland and the Fairfield Historic District to build a world class HISTORIC community          

• Embracing green technology and partnering with visionary green developers to build smarter and affordable mixed income developments – homes, condos, town homes and apartments
