ENVIRONMENT:  Our VISION is to enhance the ‘Quality of Life’ for ALL Shreveport residents by:

• Working with other elected officials, the city and parish Administrations to solve the Salvinia plant issue on Cross Lake - our primary water supply and outdoor recreational asset      

• Embracing green technology and partnering with visionary green developers to reduce energy needs     

• Working with grassroots organizations and elected officials to improve the ‘Quality of Air’ that we breathe, and strengthen standards on refineries and other manufacturers that exhaust unsafe toxins     

• Partnering with Shreveport Green, Community Renewal, Centenary College, Neighborhood Associations and other organizations to develop a 20-Year Community Clean Up Master Plan    

• Working with the Sheriff Department, District B residents, Boy Scouts of America, Shreveport Green, Centenary College students, Southern University students, Byrd H.S. students, Magnet H.S. students and other youth organizations to participate in targeted clean up projects throughout District B        

• Partnering with environmentalists, the Caddo Parish Commission and Administration to develop green solutions for our water, air and soil
