Our VISION is focused on helping our citizens to become more healthy and live longer more productive lives by: 

• Improving our Shreveport Parks by establishing a ‘community friendly’ atmosphere at ALL parks      

• Partnering with SPAR Management to develop a Community Health & Wellness Master Plan       

• Using old bond funds to build a public fitness center in the Cultural Arts District of District B      

• Partnering with local musicians, poets, actors and professional concert promoters to bring outdoor concerts and cultural performances to Shreveport Parks targeting the entire family       

• Partnering with Robert ‘Superman’ Blount to expand his Holistic Health & Wellness Program      

• Increasing funding for non-profit organizations that focus on youth athletic programs      

• Advocating against childhood obesity and working to improve the health & wellness of our children       

• Partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of America to expand programs for our under-served youth
